Senior Software Engineer /Senior Full-stack Engineer opportunity within a global digital knowledge business. This is a business investing significantly in its digital infrastructure and has an ambitious and exciting Technology Roadmap to which this role is of the utmost importance.
You’d be a key part of the Engineering team working on some highly visible, large-scale projects that impact a wide range of business and technology partners.
We’re looking for an experienced, dynamic Engineer who is ready for a challenge and where collaboration, technical ability, partner interaction, and problem-solving skills are crucial.

You’d be working in your team of skilled engineers, analysts, and managers to:
- Develop, improve and implement reliable product content systems
- Research, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products and develop new software products or major improvements through the development team.
- Address problems of systems integrations, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
- Consult with project teams and end-users to identify application requirements.
The candidate would ideally have the following experience, however, this is a business that loves to learn and loves to develop its people so any gaps in experience, training can be provided.
- 5+ years of hands-on engineering/developer with application system design, architecture, and development skills (essential)
- Cloud-based application development
- Strong agile experience in Scrum methodology
- Development, implementation and handling high performance scalable J2EE applications on Linux/Unix platforms
- Excellent knowledge of Microservices, data modelling techniques, REST web services
- Strong experience in NoSQL, MongoDB and RDBMS databases (essential)
- Experience in the development of AWS (essential)
- Experience with JavaScript Object-based model and programming like TypeScript4
- Experience with CI/CD processes
