Leading The Movement

The Talent Movement was founded in 2021 by Kate Hill after a decade of recruiting in the engineering, tech, manufacturing and modular construction sectors.

Kate felt there was more to be done by the recruitment industry to address challenges she felt passionately about and close to her heart. The Talent Movement is a business built from experience, an instinct that the recruitment industry can do better and a real desire to make positive steps toward diversity, equity and inclusion.

We feel that agency recruitment processes and hiring behaviours have huge room for improvement in order to address important challenges in the world of work and although this is a challenge far bigger than us, for every conversation we start and placement we make, we’ll take this as small steps towards progress.

We’re a small, specialist business on a big mission. We have a genuine love for what we do and every recruitment project we take on will be treated with the focus, attention it deserves. We only take on projects and roles we know we have the expertise and time for, meaning quality is consistent. As we’re small this allows us to build strong, meaningful relationships with clients and candidates, really getting to what matters and allowing us to work much more proactively.

One of the things we’re passionate about is opening up opportunities to more women in the manufacturing and engineering sectors alongside promoting flexible working opportunities that open the door to so many more talented people. We thrive on creating talent strategies that work towards this.

We’re determined to reach the very best talent and will go off the radar to find it, innovating and respectfully challenging the status quo when needed to provide the best possible shortlist for our clients.

The Founder’s Story

As we grow we’ll be looking for specialist consultants to join us at The Talent Movement so we can take on more recruitment projects and expand our specialist areas.
We’ll be offering remote working on a 3, 4 or 5 day working week dependent on your needs.
