Opportunity to join the R&D / Technical team of a global leader in the design, development, and manufacture of specialist equipment.

This is a varied and interesting role for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to be involved with customer-related and in house design projects, from initial design brief through to finished product detail.

This is a business that has thrived through the last year and is showing no signs of slowing down, hence the creation of this additional role to satisfy customer demand and the business’s investment to growth.

You’d be based from their York offices but could have the opportunity to be on-site with customers for any designs you have developed. The business really is known for being the best at what they do in this specialist market that serves end customers within FMCG production.

We’re looking for experienced Design Engineers with a mechanical background who are confident in 3D design, you’ll be using Inventor however if you’re a Solidworks user, external training can be provided to bring you up to speed with any differences. You’ll need to be comfortable with technical manuals, generating BOM’s, producing assembly drawings as well as initial / prototype design work.

Hours: Mon – Thursday 8:30 am – 5.15 pm Friday 8:30 am – 1 pm.
